A Different Hat

Yes, I come to you not with my regular photog hat, but wearing a new chapeau – that of A Graphic Designer

I take part in the monthly meetings of the Power Network Group which meets the last Thursday of every month at Mother Tuckers Restaurant in Mississauga.

Last month the group held a contest to Design A Logo. I thought, why not give it a try? It’s a good way to keep the old idea juices flowing. And yes, I won! The judges liked me; they really liked me! (Poor Sally Fields, she’ll never live down that one!)

I was surprised my design was the winner as I thought it was just letters and a little Canadian flag to make it more eye catching. As it always works, though, the beauty of the design is in the eyes of the judges.

I am pictured here with Angela Wong, the founder and driving force behind the group. It was the Christmas meeting, hence the use of antlers. Angela can be found at http://www.moneylady.ca/index.html
