Yes, You tell my Canadian heritage with my spelling. This a recent portrait for Marcel who is adding to the gallery of past principals. On the bragging side I was really pleased with the use of the blue gel on the black background . I feel it is not heavy handed .

Yes , title from the world of boring one might think but not so as I found out while attending the Professional Independent Communicators presents: Clearing the clutter from your computer held January 12, 2012. Deanne Kelleher from the Kaos group who can be found at http://www.kaosgroup.com/ Besides the good thing, I have a mac as I took for granted as the search engine tools which are built in to my system at least makes up for some of my lack of skills in the labelling department.

Yes , I am guilty of losing time to the vortex of badly named files. Now I have a simple way name my files. The hindsight of course why did I not catch on earlier.

Happy New Year one and all. Oh boy , I am in trouble with the grammar police. Yes I had the content re images and info but lets face a photog is not a designer.Here is Owens announcement card which was a 4×9 for a number 10 business envelope. I think the dark background really works with the line of two feet larger the finishing touch

Marlene did bring a couple of outfits for us to work with. The first was a white but I thought the plum coloured was the better way to go. With my splash of blue on the dark background really set of her skin tone nicely

The Girls are back

Yes , the girls are back. With a new challenge for me. We certainly have a history of photography which has included a Wedding, a Family Portrait of five generations and Mom with daughters doing the high key setup. Which was Yes shot on real film with a Hasselblad . Lets take a moment. as mine is now a paper weight.

I am now a Nikon D700 full frame photographer. With the three ladies moving from full length to head & shoulder close ups. my 24-70 was my choice for session. When Victoria called to book the appointment, she said how about something different then the white. My comeback lets go with the little black dress on the black background, Tech wise the light pattern is by way of my venetian

A Party Workout

I know , not the best title I have ever come up with for a post. Read on. It was a party event and a workout for moi. The Evanov Radio Group 2011 Christmas party as Bill Evanov said in his opening remarks this was one of the only Radio station parties still active. Given a choice the Winnipeg people opted for the event and passed on the Grey Cup. Now that tells the kind of company the Evanov Radio Group http://www.evanovradio.com/ to work for in this day and age of career choices. The Evanov Group now spans from Winnipeg to Halifax. Check out a station in your travels

Over the five plus hours I produced over four hundred images which covered the diner , awards , prizes , dancing plus portraits by the Christmas Tree. I am including Bill Evanov

Yes , here is Owen, his arrival has made Bonnie and Brian new parents. For the session , I asked them come dressed in black. With 162 shots later, fun was had by all. You will see by some of my samples I covered all the bases . I would just start the pose and offer encouraging words and let things happen. I love these black and white options. I love photographing little ones when they are really little.
